Dirty Shrimp Crostini

Total time
  • 1 baguette (I used whole wheat)
  • 1 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup Italian dressing
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1-2 teaspoons crush red pepper (optional)
  • Parsley for garnish
  1. Cut baguette into ½-inch thick slices.
  2. Peel shrimp. In a skillet, heat 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté peeled shrimp 1-2 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, or until golden brown and fragrant. Mix in remaining ingredients and cook until mixture starts bubbling and thickens.
  4. Turn broiler on high. Brush butter mixture on both sides of the bread slices and place on a large baking sheet. Broil 3-4 minutes on each side, or until well toasted.
  5. While bread toasts, add shrimp in remaining sauce and stir.
  6. Place one shrimp on each toast (or two if you have extra). Put back until broiler for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Top with parsley and more grated parmesan cheese. Serve and enjoy!
